Candles

Candles have long been used in association with the practice of magick and Witchcraft. Indeed, many religions and spiritual traditions use candles to help speed prayers and bring about change. Candle magick is probably the oldest and simplest form of ritual magick still performed today. Ever since fire was first discovered by our ancestors, the naked flame has been regarded as sacred. A single flame is one of the easiest and most effective ways of focusing power and energy.

When consciously used in conjunction with each other, things like magickal or "dressing" oils and candle color can influence the outcome of your intention. Using magickal corresponding colors and oils can influence the spell or magickal work in your favor. It is believed that the color of candle that is used helps us to pinpoint our focus on the particular diety or goal that we wish to achieve.
