In the Western world today, the Tarot has many uses for practitioners of magick, religion and spirituality, and psychology. It is often used as a tool for divination where the cards act as a focus to allow the reader and client to "divine" meanings and answers surrounding a question or topic. Some professionals employ the Tarot as a psychological tool for accessing the unconscious and helping clients to explore that realm for healing, growth, and uncovering answers otherwise not accessible to the conscious mind.
